The Million Dollar Round Table Announces Boomertirement Summit
Premier Association of Financial Professionals® to Join Industry Partners in Exploring Solutions to Baby Boomer Retirement Crisis

Park Ridge, IL - June 5, 2006 - To help lead the development of financial solutions to one of the most critical issues facing life insurance and financial services organizations today, the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) is convening Boomertirement - an industry summit focused on helping Baby Boomers maximize their quality of life during retirement.

"As Baby Boomers near retirement age, a confluence of factors ranging from longer life expectancy to pension terminations and potential shortfalls in the social security system could leave many Boomers with a fraction of the income they need - and have come to expect - for retirement," says MDRT First Vice President Philip E. Harriman, CLU, ChFC. "The MDRT Boomertirement Summit provides an opportunity for MDRT to join its industry partners so we can harness our collective front-line expertise and explore solutions to assist Baby Boomers in navigating the financial challenges they will face as they retire."

This invitation-only industry summit, scheduled to take place in New York City, April 24-25, 2007, will include a variety of educational focus sessions, panel discussions and presentations by Baby Boomer experts and prominent members of the financial services industry. MDRT plans to invite the leadership of life insurance and financial services companies and industry associations, as well as representatives from the industry trade, business and consumer media, to attend the summit.

Additional details regarding the MDRT Boomertirement Summit will be announced by MDRT in the coming months. MDRT's Boomertirement effort also includes a variety of ongoing educational initiatives for its members, including Focus Sessions at its 2007 Annual Meeting, online Web seminars, information in its member publications, and dialogue on the organization's members-only blog.
